Texas Hold'em is a community-card poker variant. Each player receives two private cards (hole cards); the dealer then reveals five community cards in stages — the flop (three cards), the turn (one card), and the river (one final card). Players form their best five-card hand using any combination of their two hole cards and the five community cards.
Betting occurs in four rounds: pre-flop (after hole cards are dealt), post-flop (after the first three community cards), post-turn (after the fourth community card), and post-river (after the fifth community card). Players can fold, check, call, raise, or go all-in depending on the action and their hand strength.

Table Structure and Seating
Each Texas Poker table at hongkongpools seats up to nine players. The dealer button rotates clockwise after each hand; the player to the left of the button posts the small blind, and the next player posts the big blind. These forced bets initiate the betting pool.
You join a table by selecting an available seat. If all seats are full, you can join a waiting list; the system notifies you when a seat opens. Once seated, you receive your hole cards and can act when it is your turn.

Hand rankings and side pots
Standard poker hand rankings apply: high card, pair, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush. If a player goes all-in, a side pot is created for remaining players; the all-in player can only win up to their contribution.
Gameplay Flow and Betting Rounds
Pre-flop action begins after the big blind is posted. Players act in turn, starting with the player to the left of the big blind. Each player can fold, call the big blind, or raise. Action continues around the table until all players have either folded or matched the highest bet.
Once pre-flop betting concludes, the dealer reveals the flop — three community cards. Post-flop betting begins with the small blind (or the first active player to the left if the small blind has folded). Players can check (pass the action without betting), bet, call, raise, or fold.
The turn is revealed next — a fourth community card. Betting follows the same pattern. Finally, the river — the fifth and final community card — is revealed, and a final betting round occurs.
After the final betting round, remaining players show their hole cards in a showdown. The player with the highest five-card hand wins the pot. If only one player remains (all others have folded), that player wins without showing their cards.
